Isaac Hamilton, also known as Little Ike, was the lead singer for The Bubba Suggs Band, who also released his own 45 on the Champion Records label under his own name.

In the liner notes for The Champion Records Story, local archivist and musician Fred James remarks that "Little Ike recorded just one 45...but what a smoker it was." As the lead vocalist for The Bubba Suggs Band, Little Ike would have been exposed to many hit artists of the day on the chitlin circuit when the band backed them up. After this release on Champion Little Ike left the Bubba Suggs Band to be replaced by Clifford Curry and "dropped off the map," according to Fred James.

The house band for Champion Records was Jimmy Beck and His Orchestra, which often included Johnny Jones and Earl Gaines among others.

Credited to Little Ike with Jimmy Beck & Orchestra, songwriting credits are given to Alan Bubis, who was co-owner of Champion, and Hamilton himself.
