Prior to using the address of their distributor Sound of Nashville, the label carried an address on ironwood Dr.

A short-run mid 60s label, based out of Camden, Tennessee, with distribution by Sound of Nashville.

History[edit | edit source]

Seemingly owned by J. C. Rhoton, who also produced most of the records. While most of the releases are classified by country, J.C. Rhoton also set up a label called Country Sounds in 1965, which only seems to have one release attached to it, as well as the labels Kix Records and Mustang Records, both of whom only released a single 45 each by Cliff Rowland.

Publishing for the family of labels included J.C. Rhoton Music, Natchez Trace Music and Ironwood Music. Ironwood appears on the Mustang Records 45 and perhaps references the first address of Canary Records at 2906 Ironwood, Nashville TN.

A garage rock band called The Tangle released one 45 on Canary., at which time the label listed 2911 Harlin Drive as the address.
