An R&B vocal group comprised of inmates at the Tennessee State Penitentiary, they recorded in the 1950s for Sun Records and had some success with the hit "Just Walkin' in the Rain."

At the time they were discovered by a local radio broadcaster, group leader Johnny Bragg was writing songs for Red Wortham, who was associated with Jim Bulliet, owner of Bullet Records and a minority stakeholder in Sun Records out of Memphis. They recorded their hit song at Sam Phillips' studio after being transported under armed guard from Nashville to Memphis.

The group frequently performed for Governor Frank Clement at the Governor's Mansion in Nashville.
