Operated by Bill Daughtery, near the vicinity of the Albert Pick Motel.

On a visit to Nashville in 1972, Andy Griffith recounted to Banner photographer Dick Linke in the March 6, 1972 issue that he had played there twice. " See where that motel is? It used to be a nightclub. The Plantation Club, operated by Bill Daughtery. I played engagements there twice. The first time in 1954 and again in 1956. I stayed at a motel called Mercury on the Murfreesboro Road. When I wanted to go downtown I caught the city bus. I was real hot then. I had two best-selling records, "When it was Football," and "Romeo and Juliet."
