A rock n roll combo started at Overton HS in the early 60s.

Drummer Randy Parker continued to play drums later in life and passed away in 2012. Lee Secrest remarked: "Randy, Alan, Charlie and I, with the help of Jim Michelinie, played some great Rock 'n Roll in Nashville, circa 1963-64. Elvis had once told me, "You've got to get their attention. You can always redeem yourself later." I believe we were sucessful in getting their attention....and redemption. I'll miss you, Randy."
