A record label established in 1952 by William Beasley and Alan Bubis after closing Tennessee. Ted Jarrett joined the company and helped provide access to black musicians. Republic closed in 1955, when Beasley ended the partnership.
Afterwards, Alan Bubis with his cousin Reynold Bubis created Calvert records.
