Nashville Intelligence Report
The Nashville Intelligence Report was a mostly monthly music-centered publication mostly in black and white newsprint in the early 1980s.

Publishing from 1982-1985, NIR had over 28 issues. An issue 29 was reportedly designed but never went to press. The zine operated out of an apartment at 2108 Hayes Street until its last year when correspondence was to be sent to Rick Champion at a Hendersonville address.
The first two issues were a 2-sided single sheet of paper done in courier font by typewriter and featuring the imprint of lipstick of an anonymous contributor.
Writing for Vanderbilt's "Versus" magazine in February 1984, author and music historian Pete Wilson referring to the early 80s rock scene: "The scene has been documented fairly well so far: NIR which Vanderbilt law student Andy Anderson began publishing in May 1982, has a 'local news' section that covers the ins and out of bands pretty well, and carries features on and interviews with both local and visiting national bands."
